Urban Heat Island Morning Heat Index

This dataset contains a modeled dataset showing heat index on the morning (6-7am CST) of July 27, 2024. This dataset is based off the Urban Heat Island Morning Traverse point dataset. Dataset was created by CAPA Strategies to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Urban Heat Island Mapping Campaign. *Heat index is an approximation of the heat felt when the presence of humidity is felt in combination with temperature. For this project, the heat index was calculated by combining the temperature with the corresponding relative humidity measurement using the same equations as advised by the National Weather Service (CAPA Strategies, 9/2024)本数据集为建模所得数据集，展示了2024年7月27日美国中部夏令时（CST）6时至7时晨间的热指数（Heat Index）。本数据集基于城市热岛晨间遍历点数据集（Urban Heat Island Morning Traverse Point Dataset）构建，由CAPA策略（CAPA Strategies）制作，旨在支持美国国家海洋和大气管理局（National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration，NOAA）的城市热岛制图项目。*热指数（Heat Index）是衡量湿度与温度共同作用下人体感知热感的近似值。本项目中，热指数通过结合气温与对应相对湿度测量值，并采用美国国家气象局（National Weather Service）推荐的标准计算公式得出（CAPA Strategies，2024年9月）。
