资源简介:
The dataset on factors influencing the well-being of gig workers, focusing on anxiety, mental health, job insecurity, and associated workplace challenges, was collected through a mixed-method field survey targeting gig workers across various sectors, including ridesharing, food delivery, freelancing, and other on-demand services. The study utilized both quantitative and qualitative approaches to capture a comprehensive view of gig workers' experiences. Key variables include demographic information (age, gender, education, years of experience), work-related details (average weekly hours, primary income source, monthly income), and well-being measures (anxiety levels, mental health status, job insecurity, and workplace challenges). The survey also explored satisfaction with gig work, available support systems, and future employment intentions.
After data collection, responses were cleaned by removing incomplete entries, standardizing categorical variables, and coding qualitative responses for thematic analysis. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS and Qualitative data were analyzed through thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and themes related to gig workers' well-being. This mixed-methods approach allows for a comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting gig workers and can be replicated in future studies.
