Date was collected on traffic noise level, socio-economic status, community size, type of dwelling and type of road. Interview data included different types of reaction to road traffic noise, the respondent's general state of health, perception of harmfulness of traffic noise, and demographic characteristics. Physical measurements were made of noise level in the area.
