To provide a power tool capable of restraining damage to a power transmission mechanism. The power tool includes a motor 67 including a rotation shaft 67B， a spindle 606， an intermediate shaft 602 positioned between the rotation shaft 67B and the spindle 606， a first pulley 601 rotatable integrally with the rotation shaft 67B， a second pulley 603 through which the intermediate shaft 602 is inserted and having a diameter greater than a diameter of the first pulley 601， a plurality of pulleys each configured to hold a plurality of belts， respectively， so that the plurality of belts is circularly movable， and a transmission restricting part provided on a transmission path for transmitting rotation of the second pulley to a cutting blade and configured to transmit or interrupt the transmission of the rotation.
