Validation dataset of Combined Textures of SmC Liquid Crystal and Crystalline Phases of 9BA4 for Training a U-Net Model

Images of the textures of the SmC phase and the crystalline phase were observed under a polarizing microscope during heating from 173 K to 353 K at a rate of 20 K/min for the substance 9BA4. The textures of the SmC phase were combined with those of the crystalline phase in such a way that fragments of the crystalline phase, in the form of circles with randomly selected sizes ranging from 1 to 400 pixels and rectangles with randomly selected sizes ranging from 2 to 400 pixels, were superimposed onto the SmC phase textures using a program written in Python with the OpenCV library. These data constitute the validation dataset.
