This dataset provides a uniformly processed database of tsunami-induced ionospheric Total Electron Content (TEC) signatures derived from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) observations. It was developed within the framework of the doctoral thesis Tsunami Ionospheric Signatures Monitoring with GNSS by Edhah MUNAIBARI to support the systematic study of tsunami–ionosphere coupling and the evaluation of the relationship between open-ocean tsunami amplitude and its ionospheric response. The dataset was constructed using the Single Receiver Technique (SRT), a standardized workflow designed to detect and validate tsunami-related TEC perturbations from individual GNSS receivers.The broader database results from the analysis of 22 tsunamigenic events and GNSS observations collected over multiple regions. Within this framework, the thesis reports 50 high-quality detections across the 22 tsunami events and identifies this compilation as the largest uniformly processed global database of tsunami-induced TEC observations produced in the study. For each detection included in the curated dataset used for the quantitative analysis, the database provides the main parameters required for interpretation of the tsunami–TEC relationship, including the estimated tsunami amplitude, the maximum TEC perturbation, the ionospheric background TEC, and the geomagnetic coupling factor. Additional metadata include geographic and temporal information associated with each detection.This dataset is intended for reuse in studies of tsunami-induced ionospheric disturbances, comparative analyses across events and regions, and the development of empirical or physics-based models linking tsunami properties to TEC response. It may also serve as a benchmark resource for validating detection methods, testing correction strategies, and supporting future efforts toward ionosphere-based tsunami monitoring.
