RAF 2024 - Relatório Anual do Fogo no Brasil - Coleção 4 de mapas de áreas queimadas do MapBiomas Fogo (1985 a 2024)

The 2024 Annual Fire Report for Brazil (RAF 2024), produced by the MapBiomas Fire initiative, provides the first comprehensive assessment of burned areas across all Brazilian biomes from 1985 to 2024. Based on the newly released Collection 4 of annual and monthly burned area maps derived from 30-meter resolution Landsat satellite imagery and deep learning classification, this report presents spatial and temporal fire patterns, frequency, fire size distribution, impacts on land use and land cover classes, and trends across biomes, states, municipalities, Indigenous Lands, and Protected Areas. The RAF 2024 aims to support fire monitoring, prevention, and management efforts in Brazil by offering an open, consistent, and scientifically robust dataset for researchers, policymakers, and civil society.
