24 January 2025--Grant Stephens: This dataset contains the dynamic coefficient files needed to run the TS07D empirical magnetic field model. These files were formerly hosted on the Van Allen Probes Science Gateway (https://rbspgway.jhuapl.edu/analysis_models). They are an extension of the dataset delivered to NASA's Space Physics Data Facility (https://spdf.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/event_lists/other-event-lists/empirical-magnetic-field-modeling-database-with-TS07D-coefficients/) and a detailed description can be found there (https://spdf.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/event_lists/other-event-lists/empirical-magnetic-field-modeling-database-with-TS07D-coefficients/Magnetic%20Field%20Modeling%20Database%20Description%20Final.pdf). The dataset contains yearly tarballs of daily tarballs of ASCII files containing the dynamic model coefficients and parameters at a 5-min cadence. The entire set is also provided in a tarball titled "all.tgz". The dataset also includes the set of static shielding coefficients in a file titled "TAIL_PAR.zip". The TS07D model source code is available on the ARGUS GitHub repository (https://github.com/grantkstephens/ARGUS/tree/main/src/ts07), which includes an example program (https://github.com/grantkstephens/ARGUS/blob/main/src/ts07/ts07d_example_june2023update.for). The example program demonstrates how to properly configure the model to use the provided dynamic coefficient files. An earlier version of the source code is also available on the Van Allen Probes Science Gateway (https://rbspgway.jhuapl.edu/analysis_models), which also includes an example program (https://rbspgway.jhuapl.edu/sites/default/files/SpaceWeather/ts07d_geopack_example_july2017update.for). The TS07D model has also been incorporated into the IRBEM Library (https://github.com/PRBEM/IRBEM), which provides for a README file describing how to configure the code to use these coefficients (https://github.com/PRBEM/IRBEM/blob/main/README.install). Note, that the developers and maintainers of the TS07D model are not associated with the IRBEM Library but did assist them in making the TS07D model available through IRBEM.
