More and more evidences show that Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP), the main active ingredient of Lycium barbarum, plays an important role in protecting reproductive health. Experiments in rats have shown that LBP berry might improve late-onset hypogonadism by reversing testicular dysfunction via an anti-oxidative stress mechanism without inducing prostate disease. In this process, long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), micro RNA (miRNA) ,CircRNA (circRNA) and DNA methylation all play a key role.
