IMPACT OF CORPUS-INFORMED INSTRUCTION AND SPEECH RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY IN ENHANCING SPOKEN ENGLISH GRAMMAR ACCURACY.

The research investigates how corpus-informed instruction (CII) together with speech recognition technology (SRT) affects management students' spoken English grammar accuracy. The study addresses the increasing educational need for technology-based language education that uses statistical linguistic resources. The research used a quasi-experimental method to study 80 management students who received either CII and SRT training in the experimental group or standard instruction in the control group. The experimental group participants demonstrated better grammar performance according to pre- and post-test results which showed decreased errors in verb tense consistency and subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. The research shows that students who study from corpora and receive automated speech feedback develop better grammatical understanding and speaking skills. The research demonstrates that using speech technology with corpus data creates an evidence-based method to enhance students' professional English-speaking abilities.
