ERIES - TLTB dataset: Thunderstorm Loading on Tall Buildings
收藏资源简介:
This dataset corresponds to the data measured in an experimental campaign carried out in the Giovanni Solari wind tunnel aimed to investigate thunderstorm-induced loads on tall buildings. Both logarithmic and the nose-shaped mean wind speed profiles are simulated to enable comparison between synoptic and thunderstorm winds. Thunderstorm profiles are reproduced using two special grids: a passive one and an active one. Wind loads and pressures are measured under different flow conditions and varying angle of attack on two tall buildings, the CAARC benchmark building, and a real project, called Project X. The CAARC model was tested in isolation using both High-Frequency Force Balance (HFFB) and High-Frequency Pressure Integration (HFPI) techniques. In contrast, the Project X model included the surrounding built environment and measurements were carried out using the HFPI technique only. "General description.doc" describes the organization of the database.
