This is an independent qualitative study exploring sexually transmitted infection (STI) knowledge and partner notification preferences and practices among up to 28 men and women with prior self-reported or clinic-documented STIs as well as up 9 of their partners in southwestern, rural Uganda. Research assistants administered in-depth interviews that explored participants’ STI knowledge and perceptions surrounding specific STIs, personal history and experience with STIs, partner STI history, and partner notification beliefs, practices and ideals.
