Data and scripts for the bibliometric analysis of inbreeding depression in trees

This repository contains the data, scripts, and supporting files used in the bibliometric analysis of scientific publications on inbreeding depression in trees. The materials include the Web of Science search strategy, exported records, screened datasets used in the analyses, R scripts used in Bibliometrix and VOSviewer supporting files. The literature search was conducted in the Web of Science Core Collection, accessed via the CAPES Journal Portal (CAFe), on 4 September 2025, using the query "inbreeding depression" AND tree. The analysis covered publications from 1976 to 2024, included all languages, and was restricted to documents classified as Article. After the initial search, the records were screened according to the objectives of the study, and publications not corresponding to tree species or not fitting the study scope were excluded. The final dataset was then used for bibliometric analyses in R with the Bibliometrix package and for network visualization in VOSviewer.
