The Clerk of Courts was designated as a Collector of Revenue. This series records details of debits and credits with the details of date, name and the particulars of amounts debited and credited. The Collectors Cash Book was used to record amounts collected as fines or court costs. Amounts were then forwarded to the receiver of revenue, or in the case of collections relating to breaches of municipal by-laws, to the relevant authority.Subject to further research.
