Most popular eSports platforms APAC 2021, by country

In a survey conducted in May 2021, more than half of the respondents in all surveyed Asian countries except for China stated to have used YouTube Gaming in order to watch or participate in eSports before. Facebook Gaming was also among the three leading platforms in each of these countries. In the Philippines, Facebook Gaming was the most popular platform, used by around 64 percent of the respondents. In China, which has its very own social media landscape in general, local platforms Douyu TV and Huya were particularly popular for watching or participating in eSports.
