The proximate and ultimate analyses of CTP and its products were carried out using the SDTGA5000 proximate analyzer from Changsha Sande and the vario EL cube elemental analyzer from ELEMENTAR. The sulfur content was measured with the SDSM-IV sulfur analyzer. X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS, ESCALAB250xi, Thermo Fisher) was utilized to analyze the chemical valence states of surface elements in CTP. Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR, EQUINOX55) was used to analyze functional groups in CTP after mixing the sample with KBr powder and pelletizing, scanning in the 4000 - 400 cm−1 range. The pyrolysis weight loss behavior of CTP was analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/SDTA851e, Mettler Toledo). 10 ± 0.1 mg of raw material was weighed and put into a ceramic crucible, heated from room temperature to 800 ℃ at 10 ℃/min under 50 mL/min N₂. The composition of the CTP was analyzed by solvent extraction. The toluene insoluble (TI) content was determined according to GB/T 2292 - 2018, and the quinoline insoluble (QI) content was determined according to GB/T 2293 - 2019. The surface microstructure of CTP was analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM, JSM-7900F). The crystal structures of CTP and carbonized CTP were analyzed by an X-ray diffractometer (XRD, SmartLab 9KW). Sample powder was placed in a frosted glass trough, flattened and then analyzed in the XRD analyzer. The instrument parameters were: Cu-Kα target, Ni filter, 40 kV voltage, 100 mA current, 10°-60° scanning angle and 10°/min scanning rate.
