This dataset shows the river network of Great Britain. Rivers are classified as either, main river, secondary river or minor river. Canals have been removed from this dataset, if you need them please alos download this Canals data set from ShareGeo Open http://hdl.handle.net/10672/84. This data was extracted from Ordnance Survey Strategy Data that was released as part of the OS OpenData initiative in April 2010. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2010-09-22 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
