Archives of California: A Documentary Calendar of the Savage Transcripts (BANC MSS C-A)

An item-level calendar (finding aid) of the Archives of California (BANC MSS C-A, Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley): Thomas Savage's 1876-77 copies and abstracts of the Spanish and Mexican-era provincial government records of Alta California, whose originals were destroyed in 1906. Structured records with manuscript deep links, verbatim transcriptions, and cross-archive concordances. Baja California included up to 1804. This version (v1.1.0): 24,768 records covering all 63 volumes. Files: the full dataset as CSV and JSON (ca-catalog-export.*), a 63-volume registry (volumes.json), field documentation (README.md), citation metadata (CITATION.cff), reuse terms (LICENSE.md), and a blind-sample accuracy audit (audit.zip, 2026-07-19).
