15 manual and four automated procedures of commercial DNA extraction kits were evaluated for their efficiency to extract DNA from pig feces and ileal digesta samples. Illumina amplicon sequencing, spanning V1-2 and V5-6 regions of 16S rRNA gene, was used to characterise the diversity and composition of the microbial community.
