Ordinal Language of Thought — behavioral data from three experiments on visuospatial sequence memory

This dataset contains behavioral data from three experiments investigating how humans memorize and reproduce structured visuospatial sequences. Participants memorized sequences of spatial positions on a hexagon and either reproduced them from memory (Experiments 1 and 2) or rated their perceived complexity (Experiment 2b). Sequences varied in their ordinal structure, formalized as programs in a Language of Thought (LoT) framework. The dataset includes trial-level error rates, Damerau-Levenshtein distances, inter-click timing data, and complexity ratings across structured sequences and matched controls. Data were collected using a smartphone-based paradigm.
