Illumina sequencing of two formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded autopsy lung samples from the 1918 influenza pandemic

In this study, we conducted Illumina sequencing on two formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) autopsy lung samples from the 1918 influenza pandemic. By combining data from both influenza enriched and unenriched libraries, we successfully recovered two complete influenza genomes of the 1918 influenza pandemic and performed metagenomic analysis on them as well.
