In 2022, the water samples of Lake Geneva were collected in July, August, September, and October to identify the microbial community responsible for oxic methane production. To understand their seasonal dynamics, we analyzed the community structure of planktonic bacteria using the 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing for the filter samples collected at different water depths and different stations including Lexplore platform of Lake Geneva.
