资源简介:
In 2019, the retail price of grapefruits stood at roughly 1.25 U.S. dollars per pound in the United States. The price of the subtropical citrus fruit has fluctuated significantly over the past few decades: while a single pound typically cost between 50 and 60 cents in the nineties, prices spiked in 2004, reaching almost one U.S. dollar. Most beloved citrus fruitsIn 2017, mandarins made up an estimated 40 percent of all citrus fruit sales in the United States, making it the top selling citrus fruit of the year. Grapefruit generated about five percent of the sales that year, putting this particular citrus fruit in fifth place.Navel oranges and lemonsThe retail price of grapefruits and navel oranges was quite similar in the United States in 2019. While the price of a pound of grapefruits was about one U.S. dollar and a quarter, the retail price of navel oranges was roughly eight cents higher per pound. In the same year, a pound of lemons would cost a U.S. consumer about two U.S. dollars.
