Growth of Land Policy Research: a Bibliometric Analysis from Scopus Article (1916-2023)

Purpose: The main objective of this study is to provide information regarding the growth of land policy publications for future researchers and visualize the literature indexed by Scopus between 1916 and 24 February 2023.
Methods: A total of 1265 research articles were downloaded and analyzed using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer software.
Results: The results of the research show that the land policy articles have been cited 17,932 times. The United States is the country with the most publications and citations, while the Chinese academy of science and Thomas Hartmann are recognized as institutions and authors who publish on many of these topics. The land use policy journal published 179 articles and one of the articles occupies the top position with a total of 397 citations. The topics of land management, land tenure, land reform, and land ownership are interesting studies in the most dominant clusters in the top keyword categories. Meanwhile, the topic of land relations, land transfer, rural, and policy change can be a novelty for researchers in the future.
Conclusion: This study concludes that it is necessary to carry out further bibliometric studies for other related topics as a form of development in the trend of land policy research publications.
