The Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP) is a global conflict database. Founded in 1978 by the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Sweden, it primarily compiles data on worldwide organized violent incidents, including armed conflicts, non-state conflicts, one-sided violence, and other similar events. Its conflict definition has become an international standard, covering detailed conflict information from 1946 to the present.
