THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PROCESS WRITING STRATEGIES IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' WRITING COMPETENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract: This article examines the effectiveness of Process Writing strategies in developing students’ writing competence in English language teaching. The study focuses on the systematic organization of the writing process through several interconnected stages, including pre-writing, drafting, peer feedback, revising, editing, and producing a final written text. The research highlights the role of Process Writing in improving students’ grammatical accuracy, vocabulary use, coherence, logical organization, and ability to express ideas independently. Particular attention is paid to the importance of continuous feedback and revision in helping learners recognize and correct their writing difficulties. The findings indicate that the systematic application of Process Writing strategies creates favorable conditions for improving students’ writing performance, increasing their motivation, and developing their ability to evaluate and improve their own written work. The study concludes that Process Writing can serve as an effective pedagogical approach for developing students’ communicative and written competence in English.
