Isolation and characterization of bacteriophages infecting Ruminococcus gnavus

In this project, we isolated several bacteriophages from natural environments that are capable of infecting and replicating in Ruminococcus gnavus, an anaerobic gut bacterium. The aim of this study is to evaluate the bactericidal potential of these phages and assess their potential applications. We performed genome sequencing and annotation to investigate the genetic structure, function, and composition of the phages. Comparative genomic analyses were conducted to elucidate evolutionary relationships and to better understand the mechanisms underlying phage-host interactions.
