Shallow ice cores from Summit, Greenland were analyzed for major ion concentrations at high temporal resolution (~2 cm per measurement). The ions include sodium, chloride, ammonium, nitrate, magnesium, calcium and sulfate. The cores were dated with annual layer counting.
