To investigate APAP-induced sex-differential liver injury and its molecular mechanism based on intestinal flora

TRIzol reagent was used to extract RNA from primary hepatocytes. Library construction and Illumina sequencing were outsourced to Novogene Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). We performed functional annotation of DEGs using the KEGG database. We next used the clusterProfiler R package to assess the statistical enrichment of DEGs in thyroid hormone synthesis pathways. The enrichment results were corrected using the Benjamini-Hochberg method and adjusted p-values below 0.05 were considered significant.
