Distribution of calbindin-positive neurons in the developing mouse brain (v1)

This dataset contains high-resolution images of coronal sections showing calbindin-expressing neurons across the developing mouse brain. A total of 37 mice aged postnatal day (P) 9, 14, 21 and 35 were used in this study. Calbindin was visualized in every sixth section using DAB immunohistochemistry with a monoclonal mouse anti calbindin antibody (RRID:AB1000347). Neighboring sections from the same subjects stained for parvalbumin are available from a separate dataset ([Bjerke et al., 2023](https://search.kg.ebrains.eu/instances/0c2adfec-6225-400b-b438-c52ae7fbde2f)). The data can be used to investigate the developmental trajectory of calbindin neurons in the mouse brain, and may be compared to our previously published data from adult ([Bjerke & Leergaard, 2020](https://search.kg.ebrains.eu/instances/d0d2e25f-029c-495a-b34a-5598dc0e6f65)) acquired using the same techniques.
