Trajectories of Arctic sea ice thickness change and its thermodynamic and dynamic contributions (2002–2020)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides Lagrangian trajectories of Arctic sea ice thickness, combining satellite observations with model simulations to describe the thermodynamic and dynamic contributions to sea ice thickness change. The dataset integrates sea ice thickness observations from the radar altimeters Envisat (2002–2012) and CryoSat-2 (2010–2020) with simulations from the one-dimensional column sea ice model Icepack. It is derived from a customized version of the Drift-Aware Sea Ice Thickness (DASIT) dataset, which merges the altimeter-based sea ice thickness retrievals with passive-microwave sea ice drift data. The data are organized into winter seasons with trajectories spanning 5 October to 30 April (exact length of each trajectory varies). Each file corresponds to one winter season and one sensor. The dataset covers the period 2002–2020.
