资源简介:
Sections derived from intragastrically infected mice after 38 h (Peyer's patch, spleen, and lung) or intranasally infected mice after 48 h (mandibular lymph node). Left and center: hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. The major observations were: in the Peyer's patch, enlargement, breakdown of the dome epithelial barrier, infiltration of numerous polymorphonuclear cells, and the presence of necrosis; in the infected lymph node, extensive necrosis; in the spleen, hemorrhaging and necrosis; in the infected lung, congestion, inflammation, and hemorrhaging. Right: Gram staining. Numerous Gram-positive bacteria are visible in all samples. Bacteria in the lung are restricted to lung tissues and are not found in the alveolar space.
