FEMA LOMRs
收藏资源简介:
This feature layer contains Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) from FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer (NFHL) for the Montgomery County, Texas area. LOMRs are FEMA’s official revisions to effective Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and/or Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports that update mapped floodplains, flood risk zones, and related information without reprinting the entire map panel set. The layer was derived from FEMA’s NFHL S_LOMR feature class and clipped to the county area of interest. Each feature generally represents the spatial footprint associated with a specific LOMR action. Attributes may include the LOMR case number, community information, effective date, type of map change, affected FIRM panels, and links or references back to FEMA documentation, depending on the fields available in the NFHL schema. These revisions can modify Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs), floodway boundaries, Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), and other mapped flood risk characteristics. This layer allows users to identify where FEMA has revised the effective flood maps through LOMRs and to understand that the mapped flood hazard in these areas may differ from the original FIRM panel. It is intended for use alongside FEMA’s effective flood hazard data, local floodplain information, and official FEMA documentation. Users should refer to FEMA’s Flood Map Service Center and NFHL services for the most current national coverage and for official map products. Example uses include: Providing local staff and stakeholders with a mapped view of effective LOMRs affecting Montgomery County. Supporting floodplain management, permitting review, and mitigation planning by highlighting areas where flood risk mapping has been revised. Offering additional context in web maps and dashboards that display FEMA flood hazard information.
