Cryobacterium sp. AP23 Genome sequencing
收藏资源简介:
Development within Arctic regions, much like any other global environment, will lead to the accumulation of waste. These waste products include materials such as petroleum based products (e.g., plastics, fuels, lubricants, etc.), paper based products, and other organic contaminants commonly removed and treated at municipal wastewater treatment plants. The low temperatures in arctic regions represent a significant challenge for established wastewater treatment methods that depend on mesophilic temperatures. Fortunately, cold adapted microbes represent a largely unexploited source of biocatalysts or enzymes for cold environments. Our project seeks to identify novel microbial isolates capable of enhancing waste treatment in low temperature environments.
