资源简介:
The Brazilian merganser (Mergus octosetaceus) is a South American diving duck in the Mergus genus. It is one of the most threatened waterfowl species in the world, with possibly fewer than 250 birds in the wild and a small number kept in captivity in Brazil (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a female individual found in Brazil was procured by Henry P. Granger, Davidson P. Campos, and Fabricio R. Santos to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Olivier Fedrigo, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco. This genome is submitted only with a limited G10K embargo policy from the date of the assembly release: https://genome10k.ucsc.edu/data-use-policies/
