Femur Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) Scan Dataset of the Indian Population

The dataset contains femoral neck bone mineral density (BMD) measurements from 700 (350 males and 350 females) Indian subjects within the age range of 25 to 85 years. The DEXA scan values were further processed to compute each individual's Body Mass Index (BMI), obesity group, body fat percentage (BFP) and soft tissue density (STD). This dataset is the outcome of preliminary research work focused on developing a low-cost bone density measurement technique using quantitative ultrasound.
