Non-Native English Speaker Grammar Error Patterns & Corrections (45 entries: articles, prepositions, passive voice, tense, agreement, word order)
收藏资源简介:
An open reference dataset of 45 high-frequency grammar error patterns produced by non-native English writers, organized by error category: article misuse, preposition errors, passive-voice overuse, subject-verb agreement, tense/aspect confusion, word-order transfer from L1, countability, modal verbs, conditionals, relative clauses, gerund/infinitive choice, and commonly confused words. Each row records the learner's first-language family (Indo-European vs Sino-Tibetan, to capture transfer effects), the error pattern, an incorrect example, the corrected example, a plain-language rule explanation, and a rough ESL frequency rank. The dataset is designed for ESL error-detection and grammar-checking applications. An interactive grammar checker built on this dataset is available at LikeNative, which highlights these non-native error patterns in real time and suggests the listed corrections. Columns: error_id, category, l1_language_family, error_pattern, incorrect_example, correct_example, rule_explanation, frequency_rank. License: CC0 / public domain.
