Monte Carlo gamma energy deposition data for polystyrene scintillator geometries
收藏资源简介:
This record contains Monte Carlo simulation data for studying gamma energy deposition in generalised-taper polystyrene scintillator geometries. The Geant4 isotropic-source dataset (G4-01) contains simulations for 2,208 geometries at seven gamma energies from 59.5 to 1,332 keV. It comprises 61,824 runs, each with one million primary gamma histories. The Geant4 parallel-beam dataset (G4-02) contains simulations for 1,024 geometries exposed to a uniform parallel gamma beam at the same seven energies. It comprises 50,176 runs, each with one million primary gamma histories. The FLUKA parallel-beam dataset (FL-01) contains simulations for 1,024 geometries exposed to a uniform parallel gamma beam at the same seven energies. It comprises 14,336 runs, each with one million primary gamma histories. Its geometries and source configuration are matched with those of G4-02, although the numbers of independent simulation replicates differ. The FLUKA isotropic-source dataset (FL-02) contains simulations for 2,048 geometries at the same seven energies. It comprises 14,336 runs, each with one million primary gamma histories. G4-01 and FL-02 use isotropic-source configurations, but their geometry counts and numbers of replicates differ. Together, the four datasets comprise 140,672 simulation runs and 140.672 billion primary gamma histories. The simulation tables are provided in HDF5 format within TAR archives. The record also includes archive containing supporting scripts. These datasets describe radiation-transport quantities. Optical photon transport, photosensor response, electronics, and experimental detector efficiency are outside their scope. When comparing results between codes, the source configuration and the definitions of the reported quantities should be checked carefully: the FLUKA histogram-based probability is a finite-bin proxy and is not identical to the Geant4 event-wise probability of positive energy deposition.
