资源简介:
This dataset originates from the study titled \"Normal-Weight Obesity in High-Altitude Youth: Gender Disparities and Protective Effects of Native Adaptation\", which aims to investigate the prevalence of normal-weight obesity (NWO) among college students living in high-altitude regions. The study focuses on analyzing gender differences and the influence of native residence background on NWO. Data were collected in 2024 at Tibet University, involving a sample of 1,313 students selected through a quasi-random convenience sampling method. The dataset includes basic demographic information (such as gender, age, and high-altitude residential status), anthropometric indicators (height, weight, BMI), body composition metrics (body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, etc.), and physical fitness test results. Participants were grouped according to extended NWO classification (eNWO) and residential background (indigenous vs. migrant) to assess subgroup differences in NWO prevalence. All data were collected through standardized physical fitness assessments and InBody body composition analysis. The dataset has been fully anonymized and is accompanied by a detailed README file describing variable definitions, measurement procedures, and coding schemes. Users are required to cite the dataset appropriately and are prohibited from using it for commercial purposes.
