A collection of 36 food samples of eight different commodity types acquired from retail outlets and a mock bacterial community benchmark sample were sequenced using resistome-targeted bait-capture metagenomic sequencing, along with whole-metagenome shotgun sequencing (selected samples), to assess the antimicrobial resistance burden borne by high-risk food commodities.
