ORNL soil dataset 10k resolution: The "Global Gridded Surfaces of Selected Soil Characteristics (IGBP-DIS)" data set contains 7data surfaces: soil-carbon density, total nitrogen density, field capacity, wilting point, profileavailable water capacity, thermal capacity, and bulk density. These data surfaces were generated by the SoilData System, which was developed by the GlobalSoil Data Task Group of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) Data andInformation System (DIS). The SoilData System generates soil information and maps forgeographic regions at soil depths and resolutions selected by the user. Derived surfaces ofselected soil characteristics are suitable for modeling and inventory purposes. ISRIC soil dataset 1k resolution: SoilGrids1km is a collection of updatable soil property andclass maps of the world at relatively coarse resolution of1 km. This is the output data-component of GSIF. Thepredictions are generated using automated soil mapping withno user intervention, and can therefore be regularly updatedas the new soil samples arrive.
