资源简介:
Here, we report the effects of a 6-month aerobic walking and dance interventions (clinical trial NCT01472744) on white matter integrity in healthy older adults (n=180, 60–79 years) measured by change in the ratio of calibrated T1- to T2-weighted images (T1w/T2w).
This dataset contains: demographic variables, cognitive variables from the Virginia Cognitive Aging Battery and T1w/T2w data for each white matter region of interest.
The cognitive variables include the raw scores pre and post intervention, z-scores pre and post intervention and cognitive composites. The T1w/T2w data includes T1w/T2w intensity values for each white matter region of interest, including the raw winsorized variables for pre and post intervention and the change in T1w/T2w scores. We calculated the 6-month change scores in the variables of interest as the post-intervention z-score minus pre-intervention z-score.
We also include the R code to replicate the linear mixed effect models observed in our study: "White matter plasticity in healthy older adults: the effects of aerobic exercise".
The data is from the FAST randomized controlled trial. ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT01472744.
