Data processing code of the HU method to assess wave dissipation capacity of coastal and estuarine forested wetlands

<strong>Data processing code of <em>HU</em> method, which applies Ursell number as an index for the assessment of</strong> wave dissipation capacity by coastal and estuarine forested wetlands<strong>. </strong>The data processing procedure can be done with Python or MATLAB scripts, with a readme file. Before using the scripts, the users need to prepare measured data of significant wave height, water depth and peak wave period from field measurements or lab experiments. The distance between each station should also be prepared. An instruction of setting up field measuring transects and <strong>mechanism of the <em>HU</em> method</strong> can be find in the deposited file 'practice workflow.docx'. The Python codes are supported by Zhitong Jiang from School of Ecology, Environment and Resources, Guangdong University of Technology.

HU方法（HU method）的数据处理代码，该方法以Ursell数（Ursell number）作为评估指标，用于评估海岸与河口森林湿地的消浪能力。本数据处理流程可通过Python或MATLAB脚本实现，并附带readme说明文件。使用该脚本前，用户需准备通过野外实测或实验室试验获取的有效波高、水深及峰值波周期实测数据，同时还需准备各监测站点间的间距数据。野外实测断面布设指南及HU方法的作用机制，可在存档文件"practice workflow.docx"中查阅。本Python代码由广东工业大学生态环境与资源学院的江智桐提供技术支持。
