Structural and functional characterization of a porcine intestinal microbial ecosystem developed in vitro

This study is a comparison of the gut microbiome of juvenile pigs compared to the in vitro microbiome developed using fecal inoculum from the same pigs. Regional comparisons are made between the proximal and distal colons and the reactor communities representing those regions.
