This study explored the therapeutic effect of EA on PDM .<b> </b>A<b> </b>PDM rat model was established, and the following pain management interventions were administered: Saline (control), EA, Parecoxib, EA+Parecoxib, or ibuprofen. After treatment, the following parameters were compared: torsion behavior, endometrial histopathological morphology, and ultrastructure using hematoxylin–eosin staining and transmission electron microscopy; serum and uterine prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) levels using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); nuclear translocation of NF-κBp65 using immunofluorescence and the AIPathwell software; the expression of COX-2, phospho-NF-κBp65, NF-κBp65, NLRP3, apoptosis-associated spec-like protein (ASC), pro-cysteine aspartate-specific protease 1 (pro-caspase-1), cysteine aspartate-specific protease 1 (caspase-1), and interleukins (IL)-1β and -18 using western blotting.<b> </b>The treatment groups showed significantly reduced pathological uterine injury compared with the model, which was associated with decreased PGF2α and increased PGE2 levels.
