County-Year Chronic Climate Risk Data for the United States, 1990–2022

This dataset provides county-year measures of chronic physical climate exposure for the United States from 1990 to 2022. It contains 106,689 unique county-year observations covering 3,233 county and county-equivalent FIPS areas. The package reports six climate components derived from PRISM, NIDIS/PDSI, and NOAA Sea Level Rise Viewer inputs, together with the author-constructed chronic-risk principal-component index. The release includes a data dictionary, quality-assurance summary, manifest, and README. SHELDUS-derived acute-risk fields and NETS- or Compustat-derived establishment and firm data are not included.
