Artificial light at night is a top predictor of bird migration stopover density

Spring and fall stopover density data as measured via NEXRAD (2016-2020) and predictor variables that were used to generate US-wide bird migration stopover maps.STEM modeling code for Spring boosted regression.Additionally, rasters in GeoTiff format are provided for spring and fall. Two versions for both seasons are included, one quantifying absolute stopover density (e.g., spring_stopover_2500_v9.tif) and one categorized as a hotspot (low, medium and high, e.g., spring_stopover_2500_v9_265_class.tif).
