Peruvian Intimate Partner Violence Database (PIPVDB)

The Peruvian Intimate Partner Violence Database (PIPVDB) is a comprehensive repository of data related to intimate partner violence (IPV) in Peru. The database is based on the 2023 Peru Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), which collected data on various health outcomes, including experiences of domestic violence, from 38,352 women aged 15-49 across 35,678 households in Peru.

The PIPVDB contains information on the prevalence of IPV, including emotional, physical, and sexual violence, as well as the co-occurrence of these forms of violence. The database also includes data on the characteristics of women who experienced IPV, such as age, education, marital status, and employment status.
