The dataset was used to characterize the impact of clay content on the decomposition of bacterial and fungal residues, with two main themes: the first contains R codes for PCA and PCOA analysis, the second contains data. The data in this dataset were obtained from an in-situ labeling decomposition experiment, which included three clay content treatments of 20%, 40% and 60%, and two residue types of bacterial and fungal residues, with a total of six treatments, each repeated three times, and three control treatments without adding residues, each repeated once.
