The strain Pantoea sp. UYSB45 was isolated from surface-sterilized roots of Sorghum bicolor cv. M81E, from field plots with no history of fertilization. In vitro analysis showed that strain UYSB45 exhibited ACC-deaminase activity, IAA production, and the ability to solubilize P and Fe. It also had PGP effect on plants of sweet sorghum cv. M81E under greenhouse conditions.
